Aamir Khan Turns Down Sanjay Dutt Biopic

Aamir Khan has reportedly turned down Rajkumar Hirani’s offer of portraying late actor-politician Sunil Dutt in the biopic on Sanjay Dutt. This has led to the launch of the film being postponed from October to early 2017. In effect, Khan would have been playing Ranbir Kapoor’s father in the film.

There are also conflicting reports that the film might be shelved now, and also the contrasting report that Sonam Kapoor will co-star opposite Ranbir Kapoor, as in “Saawariya,” with which both had made their debuts. Interestingly, Khan, Dutt and Ranbir Kapoor had all been in the cast of Hirani’s last directed film, “PK.”
